adidas Snatches Silver in August

In what many are calling a major turn of events, adidas has passed Jordan Brand earning the second slot in the USA’s footwear brand ranking. Although they fell short to Nike for the #1 spot, adidas’ basketball sneaker sales were up 40% last month compared to the drop in sales by both Nike and JB.

The Superstar and Tubular models (above) recorded high sales last month but what really helped was the basketball models adidas has been improving upon. James Harden, Damian Lillard (who says his next signature will have a BOOST-less option to promote affordability), Derrick Rose, and Andrew Wiggins, all promising players, have worn adidas on court and are the faces for adidas Basketball.

While the adidas roster may not seem as strong as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Paul George of Nike, it is coupled with a technology that is surpassing NIKE AIR as the go to for style and comfort.

And how can we forget Mr. West?
