Inside Look: Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 10

The LeBron Soldier line is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary and what better way to do it than with a very modern and abstract adaptation!

First, there are no laces. Instead wearers are strapped in, a trend we are hoping leads to more sneakers like the Nike Hyperadapt 1.0. This means you can better focus on that last play of the game where you need to come in clutch.

Having worn these in the finals instead of his signature LeBron XIII, there is speculation that the Soldier better fit the playing style of “The King”. Boasting powerful transition and instinctive response, this is a sneaker well worth playing in.

Make sure to stop by your closest Expressions to grab a pair of these before the NBA season starts! Thank you for your patronage!

Staff Picks: Volume I

Welcome to the inaugural STAFF PICKS post, we are going to get to know a lot of our staff by seeing what types of kicks they prefer. Make sure to follow our Instagram and Twitter accounts, we will also converse with employees via Snapchat, check us out @expressionskix.

UPDATE: This is our Snapcode (photo coming soon), let us know if it works!

Back to the kicks. I went to the Garfield Avenue location for a surprise visit. After being greeted and such, I pointed to the wall of seemingly endless sneakers and asked Xavier, which was his favorite. His choice was the Kobe XI EM in white and black.

Clean and simple.

Next we have Stephan‘s (stehf-in not ‘steven’) pick. He chose the Air Max CB34 “Godzilla” because of his love for all sneakers big, bulky and in the way.

These make me feel like I’m 6′ something despite my actual height.

Lastly, we have a bonus pick chosen by yours truly! The Air Jordan XIV in two slept on colorways, “Oxidised Green” and “Indiglo”.

I love green, all shades of it!

There you have it!  We have officially kicked off STAFF PICKS, thank you for checking it out and stay tuned for more!

The Latest in Nike Air Force 1’s

The Nike Air Force 1, designed by Bruce Kilgore, was originally produced in 1982. Although the sneaker was discontinued the same year, the AF1 would re-emerge in 1986 with a modernized Nike sign. Since the 80’s, over 1,700 styles & colors have been released, bringing in more than 800 million dollars in revenue per year. The AF1 was the first generation of ‘Nike Air’ products.

The name originates from the air plane used by the President of the United States which is known as ‘Air Force 1’.  Although, big name celebrities such as Drake, Kevin Hart & LeBron James have all worn this legendary shoe, former NBA player Rasheed Wallace is the only one to have his own on court collection of Nike AF1 sneakers.

The AF1 became so popular in Harlem, NYC they were given the nick name ‘Uptowns’. Whether you are looking for comfort or style, the AF1 is arguably the most notable sneaker of all time. Stop by your local Expressions store & be a part of the Nike AF1 history.
