The Latest in Nike Air Force 1’s

The Nike Air Force 1, designed by Bruce Kilgore, was originally produced in 1982. Although the sneaker was discontinued the same year, the AF1 would re-emerge in 1986 with a modernized Nike sign. Since the 80’s, over 1,700 styles & colors have been released, bringing in more than 800 million dollars in revenue per year. The AF1 was the first generation of ‘Nike Air’ products.

The name originates from the air plane used by the President of the United States which is known as ‘Air Force 1’.  Although, big name celebrities such as Drake, Kevin Hart & LeBron James have all worn this legendary shoe, former NBA player Rasheed Wallace is the only one to have his own on court collection of Nike AF1 sneakers.

The AF1 became so popular in Harlem, NYC they were given the nick name ‘Uptowns’. Whether you are looking for comfort or style, the AF1 is arguably the most notable sneaker of all time. Stop by your local Expressions store & be a part of the Nike AF1 history.

The Latest in Reebok Footwear

The Reebok International brand is a global company focusing on fitness footwear & apparel. In 1890 Joseph William Foster, a local sneaker producer invented the first running shoe with a spiked bottom, giving athletes more grip during competition. In 1958, the two founders & brothers Joe & Jeff Foster would rename the company Reebok, which originates from an African Antelope called the ‘grey rhebok’.

By the late 1980’s, Reebok had become a billion dollar company with signature sneakers like the Reebok Pump, which was worn by hundreds of professional athletes including Shaquille O’Neal.

Nike KD 8 release information

Nike designer Leo Chang is back at it again with KD’s newest signature model the KD 8. Rumor has it that the shoe’s design is inspired by KD’s leg tattoo of a sabre-toothed tiger.

The sneaker features a high-rising heel counter with a split at the achilles that can be compared to the massive fangs of the sabre-toothed tiger. The shoe features a knit-like woven upper which is a complete departure from the mesh upper of the KD 7. Nike has also changed it up by adding a newly designed air unit to the front of the shoe. Another change on this KD shoe is that you won’t find the number 35 anywhere. And of course, the rubber outsole with traction pattern gives you the traction you need for quick cuts and fast breaks.

The Nike KD 8 will be releasing on Saturday October 17th, 2015. Below are pictures of the Nike KD 8.
